Delivery and Returns:

We do not work at the weekends (unless special arrangements have been agreed).  Therefore the first batch of parcels to  go to the Courier is Monday, for delivery on Tuesday, Tuesday for delivery on Wednesday and Wednesday for delivery on Thursday, Thursday for delivery on Friday.  We can not arrange for delivery on Saturdays (unless you wish to collect your order in person, with special arrangements).
If you require a cake urgently we can arrange, if possible to fit in your order, next day delivery but at an extra cost to you. You must inform us that you require next day delivery and if we can we will arrange to do so.  We still need 3 days notice to provide next day delivery.

We do not arrange next day delivery for Saturdays so delivery is scheduled between Monday and Friday.

We can post your order on Friday but you will be expecting delivery for Monday- we cannot be guaranteed for Monday.

Delivery can be to any address as long as the address at which your payment card is registered to is also the address on your order request form. (ie billing address is the address where the card used to purchase your order).  If you wish to have a parcel sent to a work address then please check your postal room for delivery. We are not responsible for parcels going "AWOL" at the work address you provided.

When you add products to your Shopping Basket, the appropriate delivery charge will be added automatically (this is calculated on the weight(s) of your cake(s) ordered).  It is cheaper to order several cakes at a time in the same order. You will always be able to see this charge before submitting your order.

All delivery timescales are subject to product and delivery slot availability. Please give an estimated delivery date. We will try our upmost to comply with your delivery expectations but on ocassion we may not be able to deliver exactly on your preferred date: ie. usually your order will be delivered in the week rather than on a Saturday. Small parcels may be delivered via Royal Mail. Delivery is next working day subject to availability. However, delivery may take up to three working days.  If you require guaranteed next day delivery there will be an extra charge. The contents of your order and your delivery postcode area will determine which delivery services you will be offered. We do not deliver to Post Office (P.O.) boxes or shipping agent addresses.

Delivery will be between the hours of 9am and 5.30pm; we are unable to confirm a time.

Darcy's Delicious Treats will select the most appropriate carrier for your goods. This means your delivery may arrive in more than one batch to ensure your order is transported in the best possible way.

Whilst every reasonable effort shall be made to keep to any delivery date, time of delivery shall not be of the essence and Darcy's Delicious Treats shall not be liable for any losses, costs, damages or expenses incurred by the customer or any other person or company arising directly or indirectly out of any failure to meet any estimated delivery date. We will post your order in good faith but if DHL do not deliver next day delivery (1-2 days delivery) as they are supposed to then we are not liable for your delivery date.  We will send the order as early as possible to circumvene any delays by DHL but again we are not responsible for your order arriving late. The risk in the goods shall pass from the company to the customer upon delivery of such goods to the customer or where the goods are delivered to a work address then once the parcels has been received and/or signed for.

You must be available on the date you stipulated to sign for the parcel. DHL will not leave a parcel if it is not signed for. If you are out when your parcel is delivered a card will be put through the letterbox and you will have to arrange for redelivery or collection (at your costs) from the nearest DHL Depo.  Information will be given to you on the card.

Postage
You will pay one delivery charge per order if delivered on the same date.  If separate dates for deliveries are needed then please contact us so we can arrange for extra payment and extra booking of DHL. When you have added items to your shopping basket, the standard delivery charge for those products will be automatically applied to your order.

Force Majeure
Darcy's Delicious Treats shall have no liability to you for any failure to deliver goods you have ordered or any delay in doing so or for any damage or defect to goods delivered that is caused by any event or circumstance beyond its reasonable control (i.e. Royal Mail posting late or damage).  We adequately protect your cake(s) from damage but external forces on your parcel is beyond our control and therefore not our liablity.  We take photographic images to prove quality of all our cakes before they are packed and posted.

Returns
If you need to return a product purchased from Darcy's Delicious Treats.com  then please contact us by telephone or email within 2 days of you receiving your order and we will do our best to replace it. If you keep the cake/product for longer than 2 days before posting we cannot assess your claim for refund and therefore your monies will not be refunded. The food products should  be complete (not half eaten- at least 90% of the cake must be returned and wrapped up correctly to protect the cake during delivery and preserve the cake for inspection) and also be returned with their original box, packing and accessories.  You are liable for all costs involved in returning the cake/products.
 
Any refund, which is due to a fault or other defect, will not include a refund of the applicable delivery charge.

Cancellation of Orders
You are able to cancel your order prior to 48 hours before shipping with no cost penalty being incurred and full credit of your account if monies have already been taken.

If you cancel your order during the 24 hour period when your cake has been cooked and packaged for posting you will not get a refund.

All orders taken before 2pm will be processed and sent for delivery within the next two working day (orders taken at the weekend will be processed on Monday).
